She Said ‘Linford’

Floral heels may feel a little whimsical for January, but there is nothing like being prepared for Spring/Summer, is there?

(#shoppingexcuse, you’re welcome.)

These Brian Atwood heels are the prettiest kind of preparation, featuring a lush floral print and suede laces. The Linford ankle boots (some retailers are listing them as the ‘Lindford’) have a satin upper, adjustable ankle strap, leather lining, and a sharp stilettos heel of four-and-a-half-inches.

She Said “Luna”

SHOES WITH FACES ON! WHO DOESN’T NEED SHOES WITH FACES ON!

*pops pill*…and we’re calm…er. If Charlotte Olympia or I had any say in the matter, everyone would have a pair of her 100mm Luna pumps. Yes, you too, Male Who ‘Stumbled’ On A Shoe Blog. With a suede-covered toe and heel, these Italian leather shoes are perfect for those of us with a little tongue in our chic.

She Said “Zan-OMG”

The fact that Nicki Minaj has waxed lyrical about shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti? It makes perfect sense when you look at these shoes.

These are, without a doubt, made for a Minaj-sized personality. The heel would measure 6 inches if they weren’t in fact heelless, as well as being supported by a contoured 1.5 inch platform. If that wasn’t enough, these suede wedges have been spiked, studded and Swarovski crystal-encrusted from top to bottom. As Nicki would say, “that’s a Monster shoe”.

She Said “Primavera”

The Olympics are almost over. It’s about time I found some heels with interlocking rings.

Oscar de la Renta has gone for the gold (puns ahoy!) with his Primavera‘ booties. These 4.5-inch suede and pointed-toe shoes are embellished with a cutout patent-leather cuff of rings, making them perfect for the Closing Ceremony…and any occasion where you would like strange tan lines.

She Said “Mc Q”

Leather lining. Leather upper. Leather sole. LOTTA pink.

You can’t go wrong with a formula like that, can you? This fuschia-coloured “Mc Q” heel from Kurt Geiger (don’t get the designers confused!) certainly doesn’t. With suede and studs, a 5 inch heel completes this perfectly yin and yang heel.

She Said “Nikola”

Well, buckle me up and call me Mrs. Wang!

Forget diamonds. All it really takes to make a woman say “YES!” is a beautiful shoe. Case in point? These hot-hot-hot Alexander Wang pointed pumps. With a wide soft suede strap that leads the way to a sexy ankle strap duo, these 4.5 leather heels are a must-must-must.

She Said “Oh, Bui Bui”

Lady Barbara Bui is playing with some interesting techniques, here.

Along with her black suede and python print (which pull in some beautiful charcoal tones), there is a pale pink hue that mirrors the leather insole of these high heeled sandals. It’s a 6-inch heel, but with a 1.5-inch platform, it’s not too bad. ;)

She Said “Malika”

I’m officially back on the colourblocking game, you guys!

With lots of pretty pastels on-trend for Spring/Summer 2012, it proves hard to find a shoe that can be colourblocked without looking out of place. Fortunately, these “Malika” stilettos from B Brian Atwood have the colour and construction to give the feminine look a real POP! With the always-unforgiving 3.5-inch stiletto heel, the designer’s choice to add quilted padding at the footbed is much appreciated.

She Said “Knotty”

Without even being 3 inches high, these heels have me lusting for a closer look. Welcome to the fashionista’s version of flats.

Pierre Hardy‘s knotted wedge may be only 2.5 inches high, but it is a perfect way to colour-block your way to easygoing and denim-friendly chic. The knotted multi-coloured suede makes these wedges one artisan pair.

She Said “Thaddea”

Need a heel that leaves your legs looking unbelievably sexy yet still has a touch of understated glamour?

Try these Enzo Angiolini “Thaddea” pumps. With a vintage feather and jewel bouquet perched on top of a darling peep-toe, you can achieve that sleek look without appearing excessively slinky. Reviews are raving about the “freakish” comfort level of these heels. The 5-inch heel does not seem so scary with a 1-inch hidden platform. The rich suede comes in the dark purple or black colour, whatever fits your taste. The adjustable ankle strap provides wonderful support for your crazy dance moves or decoration for your crossed ankles at a charity dinner.
