She Said “Blades”

Monsieur Steve Madden can think of some relatively crazy shoes. These buckle heels are no different.

The buckles remind me of my old roller blades, but there is a certain appeal to these heels. The patent leather is perfect in the three primary shades. The pink peep toe is a different and a cute little addition. The greens mixed in by way of the straps are parfait. The nail shaped studs, the mesh and different buckle types give these – otherwise super cute – heels a tough exterior. They even look mildly comfortable with the cushion back and strap. I wouldn’t suggest these for everyone, but if you’re looking for something different and flashy, these heels are exactly what you need. And for Steve Madden prices, who could say no?

She Said “Whisttle”

The Steve Madden “Whisttle” wedge is bright, funky, and chic.

Slide your feet into these wanton shoes for a fabulous wedge experience. There is a side zipper for easy foot access and a lovely padded insole for those long workdays. It has a beautiful suede upper for that classic look and a peep toe to give your tootsies some air before you have to shield them from extremely cold weather. The heel measures approximately 5 inches and the platform comes in at 1.5 inches. The print on this wedge is all I need. It is daring and bold, but still comes off as lovely and a tad girly. Whisttle while you work, darlings.

She Said “Shazzam”

So…trends come and go, that we all know, but the Seventies revival is here to stay for at least one more season.

Let’s all make a Super Seventies Statement together and WERK these Steve Madden “Shazzam” sandals! With over 5 inches of major gold glitter going on, I couldn’t think of any other shoe I’d want peeking out of some wide-legged jeans. The 3-inch platform and ankle strap makes them incredibly comfy, and the man-made sole is super lightweight.

She Said “Bye Bye, Betsey”

The fashion industry isn’t always what we want it to be. In fact, when companies start to lose control, the products may be vastly different from what we’re used to.

Let’s hope this won’t be the case now that all future Betsey Johnson shoes will be designed by Steve Madden. Since our quirky and lovable Betsey is no longer at the helm of her ship, I thought I’d share my favourite wedges from the last collection sans Madden. These velveteen lavender-pink wedges are now a vintage classic. Let’s keep our fashionable fingers crossed for the brand’s next collection!

She Said “Katy Perry Shoes”

Today, a little birdie told me that Katy Perry is in talks with Steve Madden regarding launching a shoe line!

While her fashion choices sometimes miss the mark, I am quite sure a shoe line would be a huge success. The “California Girl” makes incredibly fun, colourful and unique styling decisions – a trifecta of qualities that sell, sell, sell in shoe world.
