Katy Perry in Rupert Sanderson – 2014 Brit Awards

Katy Perry has a shoe wardrobe I can only dream of (I mean, hello) – and the shoe envy only got worse at last week’s 2014 BRIT Awards.

While wearing a straight-from-runway gown from Julien Macdonald’s AW14 collection (not yet released, obvs), she stepped out in a pair of steel-printed Rupert Sanderson Syra pumps from Resort 2014. What a look.

She Said “Cheeky Titan”

I. Am. EXCITED! Platforms make me happy, but these are a cut above.

Literally, these platforms have been cut into a star shape and embellished in crystals. Swoon, non? Rupert Sanderson is the designer responsible for these 5-inch “Titan” ankle booties which have been produced in a beautiful violet satin (the dimension of which reminds me of the Cheeky Bingo logo woman’s hair!)

She Said Alceste

Of all the terrible things to happen to a shoe lover, cutting up the back of your feet ranks very high.

Which is why I’ve spent the past hour looking at impossibly high heels in lust. The top of today’s list? These Rupert Sanderson multicoloured Alceste heels. Next to white leather laces, candy-coloured polished leather platform heels (at 5.25 inches) are the perfect sweet treat.

She Said “Liam Fahey”

When a designer becomes the winner of the first Fashion Fringe (accessories category) and then gets selected by Colin McDowell and Manolo Blahnik as the protégé of Rupert Sanderson, you know you have found a winner.

African-born Liam Fahy is that winner. His latest hand-crafted collection is made of the finest (ahem, priciest) satins, pythons and vernice. Inspired by 13th century armory and jewellery, the cut of the lines and individual fixtures are the perfect physical ode. This new collection – including the femtastic heels below – will be released in May as a limited edition with only 500 pairs available. Mark your calendars.

She Said “Liberty London”

For one weekend only! Big news, guys. Starting tonight, Liberty London has kicked off a ‘weekend’ that gives you a very useful 15% off footwear via their spectacular shoe weekend!

The beginning of this golden opportunity brought us a special in-store appearance by the hottest designer of the moment: Nicholas Kirkwood. Kirkwood has showcased Spring/Summer 2011 collection so true devotees could get their feet into an exciting new pair ahead of the masses. Until Sunday, there will be many more designer appearances and previews, including the likes of Rupert Sanderson, Georgina Goodman and Beatrix Ong. There will even be an in-store psychic to offer you an insight into your shoe choices. Genius.
