She Said “Fiona”

While I think these shoes are far too hot for a name like ‘Fiona‘, they are just too good to raise a strong eyebrow at.

The Aquazzura Fiona cut-out pumps have all the elements right to elongate the leg without wearing a pair of high nude heels. The red and black two-tone pumps have been rendered in soft suede and accented with contrast leather. To support the 4-inch stiletto heel, the Fiona features slim straps in a T-strap silhouette near the ankle, and a tonal zip on the back heel.

She Said “Snakeskin Colourblock”

Be the beholder of every eye in these B Brian Atwood snakeskin colourblock pumps. Immaculate shades of fuchsia, teal and red come together in perfect unison to create one beautiful pump.

The fuchsia snakeskin upper is amazingly cohesive with the rest of the leopard print shoe. A 5.5-inch heel is covered in teal leopard print, while the red leopard print snakeskin island platform gives another 1-inch boost. To tie the look together the pump is trimmed out in natural leopard print which also includes a leopard print sole. If you are looking for a fabulous transition-into-fall piece, look no further than this colourblock masterpiece.

She Said “Reva”

With a red heel, two things come to mind: Dorothy and Little Red Riding Hood. Red, as an accessory, is always a good choice.

Jean-Michel Cazabat obviously got the message, being the designer behind these crimson Reva Mary Jane Wedges. The 4 inch wedge is beautifully sculptured, and the thin ankle strap keeps the shoe from looking heavy. The rich suede certainly doesn’t hurt things, either.

She Said “Lady Max”

When it comes to glamourous and womanly colour combinations, gold and red is definitely up there.

That’s why these Christian Louboutin metallic leather sandals have been given, in my opinion, the perfect name: Lady Max. This tough, chic shoe has a heel that is thinner than its own spike embellishments. A crystal-embellished challenge if I’ve ever seen one.

She Said “Baker”

Señor Michael Antonio created these magnificent red soft-fabric boots.

The colour is unbelievably striking and will take anything from your skinny jeans to your black mini skirt up to a whole different level of wonderful. The slouchy look of the shaft adds a bit of flare while the giant buckle polishes the look. A stiletto heel makes these boots a fabulous girls night out shoe. The heel measures 4.5 inches, and a full side zipper provides easy access on and off. If red isn’t your cup of tea, these darling boots also come in neutral black making them more versatile. These boots are too hot to pass up.

She Said “Big Dorcet”

The Christian Louboutin “Big Dorcet” heel is similar to the body con dresses and skirts that have been storming the streets for a few seasons.

The elasticated taupe crossover straps keeping your feet luxuriously safe in the pin heels. The upper is taupe and gold textured leather, giving this otherwise neutral shoe more sparkle. I absolutely adore the almond shaped peeptoe – it just adds the most perfect flare than your regular peeptoe! The heel measures a sexy 5 inches with a small hidden platform of 0.5 inches. Having a pin heel does require expert balance and grace, meaning this gorgeous heel would be primarily worn for sit down dinners and parties. If you’re feeling particularly brave, head to the dance floor and these, darlings, will capture the room’s attention.

She Said “Doubled Platform”

I am all for wearing an enormous heel to make me seem taller than usual.

This Bridge Over Doubled Platform from Modcloth by Jeffrey Campbell, however, might make a better decoration than actual shoe. The upper is leather and exceptionally beautiful with the mixture of red, cognac, and teal. The platform and the heel, measuring 5.75 inches, are well designed, but it is the extra platform (another 2.25 inches!) that throws the look off. The missing arch support also makes me skeptical and wondering if it is possible to actually walk in such a shoe. Perhaps a wedge heel would have better suited the look, n’est-ce pas?

She Said “Grazia”

Though I do have a sick obsession with wedges, platforms, and shoes of Gaga-esque height, I have a fascination with kitten heels.

So I buy them. I buy them cheap and then re-realise that anything under 3 inches makes me look like a cabbage patch kid. If they did work for me, however, I would snap these pointy-toed Gabriella Rocha “Grazia” pumps in a quick second. Simple, colourful, classy, and less than £20. Can’t do much better.

She Said “Kosi”

I really wish Jessica Simpson could be a less talented shoe designer. One flashback to the days of Newlyweds and all I can think of is buffalo wings.

Until I look down to my shoes, that is. The chilli pepper-coloured Kosis are a great example. With a 5-inch patent leather heel and a generous platform, they work strappy sandal sex appeal without the stiletto pain. The perfect way to femme up some jeans, and they’re on sale!
