She Said “Ryerson”

I am a sucker for a vintage-looking heel, and this stiletto is no exception.

These soft suede t-strap pumps, Report Signature have called them the “Ryerson, are a gorgeous stiletto and platform combo played up with a crackled metallic ankle strap. The 5-inch heels may be intimidating, but the hidden 1.5 inch platform keep them walkable.

She Said “Cake Topper”

When I saw this month’s subscriber cover of Elle UK, I was triggered into shoe hunt mode.

On the cover, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was wearing my version of the ideal heel. I knew I had seen them before, but it took me a day to track them down as next season’s Dolce & Gabbana crystal, leather, and rose-decorated sandals. With hand-painted details, these heels have a massive resin platform of 50mm and resemble something of a fashionable cake topper. You can pre-order them here! Haute cake-ture.

She Said “Cheeky Titan”

I. Am. EXCITED! Platforms make me happy, but these are a cut above.

Literally, these platforms have been cut into a star shape and embellished in crystals. Swoon, non? Rupert Sanderson is the designer responsible for these 5-inch “Titan” ankle booties which have been produced in a beautiful violet satin (the dimension of which reminds me of the Cheeky Bingo logo woman’s hair!)

She Said “Bardot”

The Shoe Gods are talking to us, ladies! After yesterday’s big sale find, I just found these Rachel Zoe heels for 70% off!

The stylist/designer is famous for her vintage-inspired pieces, and these leather platform sandals are no exception. The “Bardot” heels rock a honey yellow hue, woven detailing, and a buckle at the ankle. With almost a 2-inch platform, these 5.5-inch heels are a walk in the retro park.

She Said Meadham Glitter

Call ‘em platforms, call ‘em flatforms, call ‘em crazy…these shoes have been on my mind all day.

For five inches of additional height, I recommend you grab these pleated Meadham Kirchhoff shoes, stat. Featuring a pom pom detail on the front and a healthy sprinkling of glitter, these ankle-strapped flatforms are the visual essence of the talented Central St. Martins design duo.

She Said Patterned Pink

As strange a shoe as they are, the Lita has definitely become an iconic piece of footwear.

I’m convinced Jeffrey Campbell is going to be rolling out these wooden-heeled platforms until every under-30 has a pair. Not that I’m complaining. With the standed hidden platform and lacing at the front, these pink-patterned Litas scream “tablecloth chic”. Tablecloth with a 5.1-inch heel, that is.

She Said “Isolde”

Christian Louboutin is now and forever will be the king of fierce footwear.

Specifically designed for the label’s 20th anniversary, these spiked patent-leather heels are the ultimate edgy accessory and a much needed staple for every fashionista’s closet. With a pin stiletto heel reaching 6.5-inches and a (much appreciated) 2.5-inch platform, you will rock whatever street comes your way. Gunmetal-tone spikes and pyramid stud embellishments of the straps counteract the Swarovski crystal-embellished platform beautifully. There is a certain mixture of sexy minx and signature classy that creates quite the powerful look. No one will be able to stop you in these heels.

She Said Alceste

Of all the terrible things to happen to a shoe lover, cutting up the back of your feet ranks very high.

Which is why I’ve spent the past hour looking at impossibly high heels in lust. The top of today’s list? These Rupert Sanderson multicoloured Alceste heels. Next to white leather laces, candy-coloured polished leather platform heels (at 5.25 inches) are the perfect sweet treat.

She Said Zakia

As a bride, white shoes may look beautiful, but they aren’t especially practical to wear post-wedding.

A safer option? Something blush-coloured and fabulous like these “Zakia” d’Orsay pumps from Badgley Mischka. For that feminine feel, they have a beautiful tulle-wrapped heel and a tonal tulle bow, to boot. The ankle strap is also removable, in case you wished to wear them two ways.

She Said “Leafy Greens”

The stores we frequent most have started pushing out their new Spring items. And even though there is snow on the ground, it gives us hope for warmer and nicer weather.

These Charlotte Olympia platform heels are just what the world needs to brighten up its day. The upper is a beautiful cutout resembling a leaf in a fresh pastel green. The ankle straps have the same cutout but the colour is a little mintier. The straw heel brings memories of cute espadrille wedges with tans and painted toes. An adorable salmon stiletto heel will bring a spring to your step when winter is at your door. What the world needs now is some sunshine and the promise of lush green leaves on the trees.
