She Said “Iridia”

If you were ever looking for an excuse to wear heels on the beach, I think I have found the best version around.

Presenting…Fendi‘s Iridia sandals. The Italian designer’s multi-panelled front is a blend of orange, pink, red, and clear PVC, all leading to a white patent leather slingback stiletto heel (and buckle, to boot). Ombre never looked so good.

Jessica Alba in Fendi – InStyle February 2013

Does anyone else feel like it has been an absolutely eternity since seeing Jessica Alba in a fashion spread? I’ve missed this beautiful lady!

As you could conclude, Mrs Alba is the cover star of February 2013′s issue of InStyle US. In Fendi colorblock sandals (currently available in black). Winning. These heels are from Fendi’s S/S13 collection – a collaboration with Nicholas Kirkwood – and have layers of lizard print leather to balance a fully studded heel.

Additional props include a S/S13 floral dress from Marni, a Delfina Delettrez Infinity rubber choker, Infinity gold plated necklace, and her two daughters. (I kid, I kid.)

She Said “Faux Laces”

As the weather turns from slightly chilly to constant rainy arctic hell, shoe choices seem to get slimmer.

Walking the streets in your prettiest suede heels during a cold down pour is not an option, but neither are those random black waterproof flats stuffed in the back of your wardrobe. So, darlings, stuff your heels in your oversized bag and bring out these Fendi rainboots for your trudge to work. The boot comes in two colors: verde khaki and nero. The faux laces lining the front combined with the Fendi logo adornment make these boots a bit classier that the norm. There is even a little bit of support from the 1.25-inch heel. Perfect for keeping your feet and stockings dry and your precious heels intact.

She Said “Chameleon”

“Karma karma karma karma karma chameleon…”

Sorry, darlings, enough of Culture Club. Unlike some 80’s music, these Fendi Chameleon Laser Cut Pumps are here to stay. Laser-cut perforations detail a labyrinthine, patterned cutout leather pump. Lifting the gorgeous upper is a lush, lizard-embossed heel and concealed platform. A neutral heel with a pop of color that can go with nearly any other color is the absolute go-to shoe. With a 4.25-inch heel and a .75-inch platform, this pump will take you everywhere. The tiny gold buckle adds just the right touch of hardware. Let the lizard-embossed heel do the talking. Loving (this shoe) would be (is) easy if your colours were like my dream.

She Said “Best of Milan”

Milan Fashion Week brought the world enticing new pieces for Spring/Summer 2012.

The runways were rife with beautiful and enthralling shoes. For today’s edition of She Said Shoes, I have picked my favorite five to share with you!

Starting with number five, it is Antonio Marras’ yellow scale heel. It appears simple and straight to the point, but the scales and strap, along with a peek of bone, urge a second look.

At number four, it is Fendi’s leather top, chunky heel. The punctured leather with the black and white stripes of the platform and heel come together to make the perfect day shoe.

Etro brings us dear number three. With a geometrically shaped heel and a triangular gold buckle, this shoe is full of surprises!

Prada is number two for me with their 50’s car inspired shoes, especially this light pink and green wedge. The flower on the top mixes perfectly with the taillight trinkets on the back, creating a look that transpires through time.

And number one is (drum roll) Aquilano.Rimondi’s python and suede heel! This gorgeous shoe has five straps, two in the python material and three silver straps that swirl into the shoe almost snakelike. The suede part of the shoe has an almost-sweetheart neckline, making the heel super femme but slightly dangerous.

Enjoy creating your wishlist, darlings.
