Jessica Alba in Fendi – InStyle February 2013

Does anyone else feel like it has been an absolutely eternity since seeing Jessica Alba in a fashion spread? I’ve missed this beautiful lady!

As you could conclude, Mrs Alba is the cover star of February 2013′s issue of InStyle US. In Fendi colorblock sandals (currently available in black). Winning. These heels are from Fendi’s S/S13 collection – a collaboration with Nicholas Kirkwood – and have layers of lizard print leather to balance a fully studded heel.

Additional props include a S/S13 floral dress from Marni, a Delfina Delettrez Infinity rubber choker, Infinity gold plated necklace, and her two daughters. (I kid, I kid.)

Lea Michele in Elie Saab – People’s Choice Awards 2013

Last night’s People’s Choice Awards were an all-round smash hit when it came to red carpet style, but the real standout shoe for me took the form of Lea Michele‘s gorgeous Elie Saab sandals (currently online only in blue – but on sale!).

These heels are actually from Saab’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection but happen to be the perfect accomplice to the rest of her latest-season super-fuschia ensemble: an Elie Saab cocktail dress and Anita Ko jewels. It only seems right to win the Best Comedic Actress award while wearing pink leather, gold patent leather, and major bling.

She Said Yayoi

Though a shoe featuring a lace-up ankle strap sounds inherently sexy, these Yayoi heels by Sophia Webster are categorically cute.

Webster – Queen of fearless footwear fashion – has created a beautiful neon cut-out sandal that is finished off by a 4.5-inch multicoloured bead heel; wholly inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama‘s graphic dot paintings. With grey suede on the body of the shoe, the circle-lined straps have been contstructed from patent leather and bubble down towards an open round toe.

She Said “Petalstal”

If there was any shoe to come back with after a brief shoe blog hiatus, ModCloth’s On a ‘Petal’-stal Bootie seemed like the perfect choice.

These vegan faux-suede platform booties are offering up six inches of added height with fuchsia jewels and petal-like detailing for a total steal. It may be a high heel, but the hidden platform and tall boot shaft pushes you towards the skies without causing discomfort. A must.

She Said “VS Fashion Show 2012″

There you have it, wannabe angels and shoe lovers: every shoe worn at this year’s Victorias Secret Fashion Show!

Each show was created by Nicholas Kirkwood and tied into the story of each model’s ensemble and themes. Kirkwood had been approached by VS much earlier in the year – alongside their chosen themes and fabrics – and the designer created everything from over the knee boots to glitter-packed booties and pink roller skates to sky-high platforms to compliment the creative direction of the most expensive fashion show on earth. The shoes will be available as bespoke made-to-orders but won’t be available in stores.

Which is your favourite?

She Said “Astrix”

While I was searching for winter boots on Wanted Shoes’ site, I haphazardly stumbled across some shoes that – at least for the next few months – are going to be kept well away from this London downpour.

The Astrix‘ heels from Tony Bianco are obviously worth the wait. Though you order them in ‘Blue Multi’, the colours move from a baby blue pointed toe into a nude-coloured topline and stiletto heel. The shoe also comes in a black & white and silver & nude option, but this pretty combination was the first to catch my eye.

She Said “Pilot”

These Pilot‘ platforms by ASOS Collection may not be your favourite type of pilot, but they are certainly some sexy competition.

With a low cut vamp, these shoes feature a textured wool-effect upper in a blurred stripe design. The 1.4-inch platform is concealed and helps you to get from A to B in an (otherwise) 5-inch chunky rose gold heel.

She Said “Reptar”

Reptar Reptar gotta find that Reptar” has to be the song on everyone’s mind when it comes to these extra unique high heels.

The neon green colour provides a striking contrast when paired with a neutral palette (and baby, everyone will be looking at your feet and nowhere else if you wear these bad boys). The suede-looking ‘heel’ is a roaring Tyrannosaurus Rex. The depiction of the T-Rex form is quite detailed and includes teeth, veins and claws. Have no fear; the feet are placed strategically to give you the best balance possible and the would-be tail carries out to the rest of the shoe. No one really knows where these heels can be purchased (come on, internets!), but once the secret is out you can bet you will see these on every sidewalk (including mine!).

She Said “Delia in Chelsea”

If you’re in the market for gold-dipped legs, these chelsea boots from 3.1 Phillip Lim will be right up your street.

These golden high-top embossed and cracked leather ankle boots – the ‘Delia’ – feature a pointed toe and raised leather trimmings at the shoe face. A bit thinner than your typical chelsea boot, the 3.5 heel tapers into a stiletto to elongate the entire aesthetic. Gorgeous.

It’s that time again, mon cheres. London Fashion Week is a closed eye away and my obsessive compulsive spreadsheets are colour-coded like the rainbow. I am covering the #frow, backstage, streets, and collections for the blog as well as Access-Fashion and Vauxhall Fashion Scout, so keep your peepers peeled.

Follow me on Twitter @lelalondon to co-relish in the madness.

I hope to see you on the other side (and avoid tumbling down the Somerset House cobbles. Let’s hope for that, too).
