Dakota Fanning Trying on Shoes – Glamour March 2013

This shot of Dakota Fanning surrounded in some of next season’s most fabulous heels is my favourite in the entire March 2013 issue of Glamour (which the gorgeous actress covers).

Miss Fanning has a baby pink Christian Louboutin Pigalle spike heel on her right foot and a multicoloured leopard-print patent leather and a skinny blue stiletto heel by Sophia Webster S/S 2013 – a play on the Danas from this season – on her left. The pile of shoes she is stood over includes a pair of Walter Steiger Theo pumps in Nectarine and a stunning medium-sized embroidered stone box clutch from Marchesa. To see it all up close, take a look at the full shoot here.

Katy Perry in Jimmy Choo – President Barack Obama’s Ceremonial Inauguration

Yesterday’s 57th Presidential Inaugural Address in Washington DC brought out a rather large number of celebrities. As the title suggests, this included the gorgeous Katy Perry in a pair of Jimmy Choo ‘Titan’ boots.

Seen here alongside John Mayer, the singer paired the boots with an orange and black woven coat from Rodarte Autumn/Winter 2012 alongside a collared rust and black-sequined tulle dress from the same collection and a Christian Louboutin ‘Farida’ handbag.

She Said “Sexiest Shoe”

As if we shoe lovers needed any convincing of the brand’s sex status, Christian Louboutin has once again created a masterpiece which has earned the title of ‘Sexiest Shoe‘.

In Footwear News and Saks Fifth Avenue’s third annual competition, online voters chose Christian Louboutin as their Sexiest Shoe. The shoe, in particular? These red Pigalle 100 spiked patent-leather pumps.

Finalists included Manolo Blahnik, Christian Dior, Nicholas Kirkwood, Gucci, Tabitha Simmons, and more. Second place went to a pair of burgundy Stuart Weitzman pumps with a metallic stiletto, third went to a pair of black suede sandals by Jimmy Choo, and number four went to a pair of studded over the knee boots by B Brian Atwood.

She Said “Vampanodo”

There has to be something pretty special to distract me from their red sole, but these Louboutins have done it!

In fact, the red sole of the Christian Louboutin Vampanodo 100 suede and sateen sandals are almost an afterthought. The dainty 4.5-inch heel balances flourishing twists of soft blush sateen alongside a tactile black suede. The ultimate girly-girl heel.

She Said “Sylvieta”

Dip your toe in the sugar-coated sand with these ‘Sylvieta’ pastel leather and snake chain sandals from the one and only Christian Louboutin.

We’re talking powder blue, pastel pink and creamy blush leather dusted in gold. No complaints are humanly possible. The almond-shaped open-toe heels are the type of shoes you will come back to year after year, always offering a streamlined retro appeal.

She Said “Red Filo”

If I asked you to think of a Louboutin, it is likely that your first thought would be “red soles!”

And yes, red soles are the key, but red allover takes me to some sort of “uber-Loubou” level. This classic pair of crimson Filo 120mm patent pumps are beyond perfect. Leather…10mm platform…Italian calfskin…’nuff said. Buy them here.

She Said “Isolde”

Christian Louboutin is now and forever will be the king of fierce footwear.

Specifically designed for the label’s 20th anniversary, these spiked patent-leather heels are the ultimate edgy accessory and a much needed staple for every fashionista’s closet. With a pin stiletto heel reaching 6.5-inches and a (much appreciated) 2.5-inch platform, you will rock whatever street comes your way. Gunmetal-tone spikes and pyramid stud embellishments of the straps counteract the Swarovski crystal-embellished platform beautifully. There is a certain mixture of sexy minx and signature classy that creates quite the powerful look. No one will be able to stop you in these heels.

She Said “Lady Max”

When it comes to glamourous and womanly colour combinations, gold and red is definitely up there.

That’s why these Christian Louboutin metallic leather sandals have been given, in my opinion, the perfect name: Lady Max. This tough, chic shoe has a heel that is thinner than its own spike embellishments. A crystal-embellished challenge if I’ve ever seen one.

She Said Eugenie

What a girl really needs to feel like a princess is not a sparkly tiara, but a sparkly pair of shoes.

Christian Louboutin’s sky-high satin pumps will do just the trick. With beautiful Swarovski crystal embellishments on the 6-inch heel and 1-inch platform, these shoes take you from girl-next-door to princess bride. The taupe colour will match exquisitely with any garment in your wardrobe, making a very elegant evening choice. An almond toe gives that slightly pointed look that will elongate the legs without the harshness of a true point. It is every girl’s dream to be a princess and in such polished heels, no one will be able to tell the difference!

She Said “Vernice”

I’ve always thought that if someone is lucky enough to afford a pair of Louboutins, they should always choose a classic shape.

After all, you don’t want one of your most expensive purchases to be a trend shoe that only works for a season or two. These Vernice” stilettos would be as crazy as I would go. With a pointed toe and cross-over strap, they may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the shape and structure is incredibly sexy. With a red sole, you can’t go too wrong, can you?
