She Said “Jazmyn”

In addition to flourishing my musical teenagehood, I have to give Gwen Stefani some additional props for bringing these sandals into my life.

Her label L.A.M.B. has released these sexy Jazmyn sport sandals into the shoemosphere, bringing colourblocking to a whole new level. The 4.5-inch sky blue stiletto heels feature snakeskin and perforated leather alongside patent piping accents on the straps. Buckle ‘em up, babes.

She Said “Cited Skin”

There is something very scary (and very sexy) about a monstrous heel and no platform.

But these Alexandre Birman sandals are worth the beautiful risk. While the ankle strap, buckle and sole are all corked out, the multi-yellow and brown painted python print keeps the Italian stilettos very fashion-forward. Even better? The skins are authorized by CITES (

She Said “Nikola”

Well, buckle me up and call me Mrs. Wang!

Forget diamonds. All it really takes to make a woman say “YES!” is a beautiful shoe. Case in point? These hot-hot-hot Alexander Wang pointed pumps. With a wide soft suede strap that leads the way to a sexy ankle strap duo, these 4.5 leather heels are a must-must-must.

She Said “Bardot”

The Shoe Gods are talking to us, ladies! After yesterday’s big sale find, I just found these Rachel Zoe heels for 70% off!

The stylist/designer is famous for her vintage-inspired pieces, and these leather platform sandals are no exception. The “Bardot” heels rock a honey yellow hue, woven detailing, and a buckle at the ankle. With almost a 2-inch platform, these 5.5-inch heels are a walk in the retro park.

She Said “It Was All Yellow”

I don’t mean to live my entire life through song lyrics, but Coldplay lyrics felt like a whole lot of perfect for these hot shoes.

These major yellow leather sandals from Casadei feature a round open toe, a t-bar front, an ankle strap with a side buckle closure and a wedge heel. At 6.2 inches, these Summer-loving babies are no joke.

She Said “Mazin”

Vince Camuto’s “Mazin” pumps are rightly named. These colourblocked slingback pumps are definitely amazing.

A fresh new look is exactly what we need as the winter drags on into a gray and swirling mess. While the soft suede does include a gorgeous gray platform, 1.25 inches, the orange heel measuring 4.5-inches, and the blue upper create a lovely palette. The adorable silver buckle clasps the adjustable ankle strap. While you may be seeing more heels without a platform, sometimes keeping your feet (and legs) looking sexy for decades can change your mind. And so should this shoe. While the sky may be getting darker, your wardrobe does not have to wilt. Blossom in bright colours, starting with these Camuto pumps.

She Said “Buckle Up”

Dominatrix. Femme Fatale. Just a couple words one may describe the ultra-sexy and badass woman choosing to wear these “Luciabooties from Bionda Castana.

Eleven buckle straps wrap seductively around the shoe. The silver buckles, in turn, create the perfect edgy effect. But wait, these booties are not just a thing of beauty; inside these dark and dangerous heels is a toasty shearling lining – perfect for keeping you warm during these winter months. The almond toe creates a long line without having to go for a full pointed toe. The heel is an approximate 4.7 inches. Strap yourself into a pair of leather pants and buckle up for a wild night.

She Said “Blades”

Monsieur Steve Madden can think of some relatively crazy shoes. These buckle heels are no different.

The buckles remind me of my old roller blades, but there is a certain appeal to these heels. The patent leather is perfect in the three primary shades. The pink peep toe is a different and a cute little addition. The greens mixed in by way of the straps are parfait. The nail shaped studs, the mesh and different buckle types give these – otherwise super cute – heels a tough exterior. They even look mildly comfortable with the cushion back and strap. I wouldn’t suggest these for everyone, but if you’re looking for something different and flashy, these heels are exactly what you need. And for Steve Madden prices, who could say no?

She Said “Best of Milan”

Milan Fashion Week brought the world enticing new pieces for Spring/Summer 2012.

The runways were rife with beautiful and enthralling shoes. For today’s edition of She Said Shoes, I have picked my favorite five to share with you!

Starting with number five, it is Antonio Marras’ yellow scale heel. It appears simple and straight to the point, but the scales and strap, along with a peek of bone, urge a second look.

At number four, it is Fendi’s leather top, chunky heel. The punctured leather with the black and white stripes of the platform and heel come together to make the perfect day shoe.

Etro brings us dear number three. With a geometrically shaped heel and a triangular gold buckle, this shoe is full of surprises!

Prada is number two for me with their 50’s car inspired shoes, especially this light pink and green wedge. The flower on the top mixes perfectly with the taillight trinkets on the back, creating a look that transpires through time.

And number one is (drum roll) Aquilano.Rimondi’s python and suede heel! This gorgeous shoe has five straps, two in the python material and three silver straps that swirl into the shoe almost snakelike. The suede part of the shoe has an almost-sweetheart neckline, making the heel super femme but slightly dangerous.

Enjoy creating your wishlist, darlings.

She Said “Curvy Reds”

Like I mentioned on my fashion blog, I am a little bit obsessed with a new shopping find: Farfetch.

Though it – on paper – is simply a website with great designer choices to shop from, the Cool Factor runs much deeper. The point of Farfetch is the worldwide availability of over 1000 of the best designers that you can cart in one online community and have delivered absolutely anywhere in the world.

As a huge Alexander McQueen fan, one of the first things I searched for on the site was Alexander McQueen shoes. And boy, did I find some. From the US, to London, to Paris, Farfetch had some of the best footwear choices from McQueen’s HBIC fashion designer, Sarah Burton, available anywhere.

Take these curved red velour wedges with peep toe, ankle strap, gold tone buckle, and 5.5″ heel (with a 1″ platform!). Great design and great colour are always worth your time. In China, red is the color of prosperity and joy. Red roses symbolize passionate love. Red is also the color of passion. Then now I’ve seen these heels? Red is the colour of the week.

It may be a long aesthetic stretch from Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, but Sarah Burton shows absolutely no sign of slowing down. Love love love.
