She Said “Kirkwood for Erdem”

Another day, another soul-exploding shoe find.

Today’s obsession comes from the talented designer minds (and one of my most anticipated designer collaborations…ever) of Nicholas Kirkwood and Erdem. You could call them leather pumps, but it wouldn’t do them justice. Not only do these 4.5 heels have beautifully printed green silk, but a geometric and mixed media-rocking block caboose. Clear and black acetate are a statement making duo, indeed.

She Said “Lita”

Though I’ve already touched on my love for them, I have to re-iterate: Jeffrey Campbell out did himself with the Lita shoe.

It is possibly the most diverse heel I have come across. The heel comes in a variety of colors, textures, and prints. There are fifty-four different ways to wear the shoe, to be exact. Each of you fashionistas should be able to fall in love with a least one pair. It literally is a shoe that will work for every style! From the more classic shade (shown here) to the brightest of pinks, to a starry sky, there seems to be no limit! The uppers come in simple fabrics, suede, velvet, pebbled calf leather, synthetic or lightly distressed leather. With a 5-inch wood or synthetic heel and a 2-inch platform, these heels are flying off the shelves at an exceptional rate. A fabulous go-to heel for any fashion forward girl.

She Said “Mildred”

If the shoe designer I’m checking out makes the effort to name their shoes, I generally make the effort to spend a little more time on their lookbook.

Jeffrey Campbell has rocked my boat by naming this paint-splattered pretties…”Mildred Paint“. It’s an avant garde art project with a grandmother edge. I am in lust; block heel with back cut-outs and a leather upper. Wishlist cracked open.

She Said “World Domination”

So, I was convinced I was going to jump of the nude-heel train until I saw these Alaïa* platforms.

The brand new cutout, peep-toe sandals are fitted with nude and black leather, silver stud and disc embellishment, and 6-inch block heel upon a perforated platform. I will rig these to shoot lasers, k? I AM THE DANCEFLOOR WONDERWOMAN.

* “An a-what-a?”
“It’s like a totally important designer.”
“And I will totally shoot you in the head.”

She Said “Gipsy”

They are all saying it is the year of the rabbit. WRONG. It’s obviously the year of the block heel.

These “Gipsy” cream suede multi-strap sandals with a purple raffia block heel are perfect, which means they must be a Yves Saint Laurent creation. Buy them and be blessed with a 5 inch heel below a dainty brass buckle-fastening ankle strap. Someone…bless me?
