She Said “Dareah”

The classic pump sports quite a few twists these days. Just take a look at these Betsey Johnson “Dareah” pumps.

The same pump shape we all know and love, but a tad more audacious. The upper works a beautiful blue suede that peeks into a leopard print lining which is lightly cushioned. Need a little drama in your pumps, mes chèrs? The teal platform, measuring at 1.25-inches, with a touch of lace adds just enough dazzle to your look. A black patent heel measuring 5-inches, completes the look. As if these shoes weren’t darling enough, the sole is beautifully crafted with the Betsey Johnson signature. The Dareah comes in two other different shades (the nude and pink being another favourite!). A perfect staple shoe to have in your closet.

She Said “Whitney”

I am such a glutton for Betsey Johnson. The woman is knocking on wrinkles’ door while doing catwalk cartwheels and trotting around in tutus.

On top of that, Betsey Johnson’s “Whitney” pumps have to be some of my favourite shoes in months. The shoe is so streamlined and sexy with the open side that it could work for almost any occasion. The crazy is kept on the lining - leopard-print insoles, anyone?

(The fuschia-tinted purple makes me want to stomp it out at Disneylandor whatever equivalent I would be able to find in Bangkok.)

She Said “Bye Bye, Betsey”

The fashion industry isn’t always what we want it to be. In fact, when companies start to lose control, the products may be vastly different from what we’re used to.

Let’s hope this won’t be the case now that all future Betsey Johnson shoes will be designed by Steve Madden. Since our quirky and lovable Betsey is no longer at the helm of her ship, I thought I’d share my favourite wedges from the last collection sans Madden. These velveteen lavender-pink wedges are now a vintage classic. Let’s keep our fashionable fingers crossed for the brand’s next collection!

She Said “Betsey Barbie”

The fact that you are on a website dedicated to shoes means I can assume you are somewhat girly. If there has been a misunderstanding, I urge you to click that little X right now.

PINK GLITTER!!!!!!11111 And Betsey Johnson. This “Iridescence” pump is everything a feminist would want to catapult into our shins. For those afraid of being ‘too much’, there is also black glitter, silver glitter, and gold glitter. You have no excuse, ladies, it’s less than five inches of heel and has a tiny platform to stabilize you.
