She Said “Jazmyn”

In addition to flourishing my musical teenagehood, I have to give Gwen Stefani some additional props for bringing these sandals into my life.

Her label L.A.M.B. has released these sexy Jazmyn sport sandals into the shoemosphere, bringing colourblocking to a whole new level. The 4.5-inch sky blue stiletto heels feature snakeskin and perforated leather alongside patent piping accents on the straps. Buckle ‘em up, babes.

She Said “Leafy Greens”

The stores we frequent most have started pushing out their new Spring items. And even though there is snow on the ground, it gives us hope for warmer and nicer weather.

These Charlotte Olympia platform heels are just what the world needs to brighten up its day. The upper is a beautiful cutout resembling a leaf in a fresh pastel green. The ankle straps have the same cutout but the colour is a little mintier. The straw heel brings memories of cute espadrille wedges with tans and painted toes. An adorable salmon stiletto heel will bring a spring to your step when winter is at your door. What the world needs now is some sunshine and the promise of lush green leaves on the trees.

She Said “Gold Cutter”

While I am not a huge fan of gold accessories, these Lanvin cut-out pumps have wooed me on the spot.

The combination of the black on gold is chic – there are no bells and whistles on this shoe to turn heads. Lanvin simply created a pump so stunning it didn’t need any added bows or colors. Calfskin leather upper, lining, and sole provides a luxurious comfort, while the double ankle strap and cutout wedge are just enough to give it the je ne sais quoi everyone is searching for these days. With a 4.5-inch heel, you can easily walk the streets or mingle at an event. In my eyes, these are the perfect black pumps.

She Said “Ballerina”

I figured it was time for a dainty ballerina flat. Kidding.

There is nothing dainty about these Valentino studded antique-rose leather ballerina flats. The two ankle straps and the golden studs make this darling flat unique. With a pointed toe and a teeny-tiny heel for support, these make the cut when it comes to a flat. The antique-rose colour and off-white trim have the ladylike glamour of days past. However, the golden studs bring out the edgier side of “granny glam”. Whether you love black jeggings or a-line skirts (or both), these ballerina flats will turn heads everywhere you go! This is a sophisticated alternative to your heels whether you are at work or play. Sign me up!

She Said “Curvy Reds”

Like I mentioned on my fashion blog, I am a little bit obsessed with a new shopping find: Farfetch.

Though it – on paper – is simply a website with great designer choices to shop from, the Cool Factor runs much deeper. The point of Farfetch is the worldwide availability of over 1000 of the best designers that you can cart in one online community and have delivered absolutely anywhere in the world.

As a huge Alexander McQueen fan, one of the first things I searched for on the site was Alexander McQueen shoes. And boy, did I find some. From the US, to London, to Paris, Farfetch had some of the best footwear choices from McQueen’s HBIC fashion designer, Sarah Burton, available anywhere.

Take these curved red velour wedges with peep toe, ankle strap, gold tone buckle, and 5.5″ heel (with a 1″ platform!). Great design and great colour are always worth your time. In China, red is the color of prosperity and joy. Red roses symbolize passionate love. Red is also the color of passion. Then now I’ve seen these heels? Red is the colour of the week.

It may be a long aesthetic stretch from Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, but Sarah Burton shows absolutely no sign of slowing down. Love love love.

She Said “Viola”

If I was going to attend a crystal ball I would happily trade in my Prince Charming for these anthracite leather sandals.

With the “Viola“, we’re talking a 5-inch heel with crystal-covered straps, light-gray mesh inserts at the sides, and two buckle-fastening ankle straps. God bless you, Jimmy Choo.

She Said “Cro-ssoni”

A key item in every woman’s wardrobe should be a comfortable, sexy shoe that will work across their entire wardrobe.

While black pumps are the standard choice, a multi-coloured option is much more fun! My pick for Summer are these crochet-knit espadrilles from Missoni: the thick base makes them super easy to walk in, while the knotted straps threaded through gold rivets are a total departure from your ‘basic black’. Love them.
