She Said “Kirkwood for Erdem”

Another day, another soul-exploding shoe find.

Today’s obsession comes from the talented designer minds (and one of my most anticipated designer collaborations…ever) of Nicholas Kirkwood and Erdem. You could call them leather pumps, but it wouldn’t do them justice. Not only do these 4.5 heels have beautifully printed green silk, but a geometric and mixed media-rocking block caboose. Clear and black acetate are a statement making duo, indeed.

She Said “Ellie Choo”

Once again, I’ve found some appropriately expensive heels that straddle the line between sexy and man repelling.

These “Ellie” – nude leather and mesh – sandals by Jimmy Choo are worth a click, at the very least. With a 5-inch dégradé gold and nude acetate heel that connects to the base, the decision between va-va-voom and what-the-hell truly boggles the mind. Either way, the designer-stamped zip pull is worth some love.

She Said “Acetate Me”

Guess what? Leather and acetate is going to be everywhere this season. Here is my favourite pick so far for Spring/Summer 2011, thanks to Chloé.

The colour is one thing, as it is extremely rare that bright blue can be produced with the right level of class attached. Thankfully, these beige acetate wedge sandals are combined with some luscious leather to keep it chic. But wait, there’s more (says my Infomercial personality)! While the straps are woven through the platform’s cutouts, there are also some strategically placed gunmetal studs, an adjustable strap with push studs, and a gripped rubber sole underneath the round toe. Chloé checking all boxes.
